As technology evolves, so do the ethical responsibilities of understanding and utilizing technology.  Technology is changing the way we practice the business of law.  Within the  legal sphere, both company/corporate councils and  law firms, the attorneys are being required, as part of their Professional Responsibility, to be have a minimal competence in the use of available technologies.  Attorneys need to understand, minimally at a basic level, how they can and should be leveraging technology to comply with discovery rules, and to properly and economically represent and advocate for their clientele.  Administrators need to understand the positive fiscal impacts of using technology as well as the negative impacts in reputation and client retention if you do not.

This session will be presented by Andrew Spett,  Esq.  Andrew is a licensed attorney in the State of California, as well as a tenured service provider in the Legal vertical.  With over 20+ years experience in the Legal marketplace, 11 of which have been specifically focused on eDiscovery, Andrew is dedicated to the task of building consultative business relationships in both the Corporate and Law Firm environment through education, analysis, collaboration, and execution. He has been involved professionally with many complex litigations and fraud investigations, advising his clients on the effective utilization of advanced search technologies and review methodologies.
