We are excited to have you join us for our Spring Social! This year we will arm you with tools on how to “work the room” so that you can make the most of our event. Darien Fleming, our guest speaker, will provide you with tools on: how to properly prepare for networking events, what to consider when making first impressions, how to meaningfully connect with various people in the room, what makes for good conversation, how to make graceful exit, and how to stay in touch.

About our presenter:

Darien is a certified executive + career coach and trainer.  She started her career as an attorney at AmLaw 100 firms in Boston, MA. After 7 years of practice in estate planning and probate litigation, she transitioned to Professional Development.  In her role as Director of Professional Development and Talent Management for a mid-size, Boston-based firm, she directed the evaluation processes for legal professionals firm wide, ran compensation processes, advised management on associate retention and development best practices, and coached attorneys at every level of the firm on business development, leadership management, and career advancement.  She has spent over 10 years feeding her passion: training attorneys in critical “soft” skills and business development and coaching attorneys to determine, set and achieve their goals.

Darien brings strategic thinking and problem solving skills to her work. Darien’s client s rely on her for her good judgment, clear and direct communication, and high positivity. Through dynamic presentations, powerful questions, perspective shifting, fierce honesty, and firm accountability, she leads attorneys and teams to fulfilling, engaging and successful careers.

Darien holds a B.A. and J.D. from Boston College. She is a certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CTI), Associate Certified Coach (ICF), a certified Gallup Strengths Coach and a DiSC Certified Facilitator.

Presentation begins at 4:00 p.m. and drinks & appetizers will follow.
